Otto’s father had seven siblings. Otto himself has two children, a daughter and a son. The son doesn’t want children, the daughter had a son in her late 30s, and there are no more children in sight. Many nieces and nephews also have an only child, do not want children or cannot have children. At family celebrations, many old people dance and eat alongside a few young people. The family is getting smaller – and older. Like many families right now.
