Young people up to 30 years old are entitled to a week of free travel and accommodation in mainland Portugal

This Monday, young people in Portugal had excellent news to start the week: overnight, they gained the opportunity to discover the country completely free of charge over the course of seven days.

The offer comes from the program ANDA Discover Portugaldeveloped by Movyin partnership with CP – Trains from Portugal. Previously, that year, but it has now been extended to all young people between 18 and 30 years oldallowing them to travel by train and stay overnight in Youth Hostels during seven days and six nights, free of charge.

The program is open to all residents in Portugal, including citizens of the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira — although the latter will have to travel to the mainland to take advantage of the offer.

How to request a free week of travel and accommodation

Interested parties must request the voucher through ANDA Know Portugal, authenticating with the Digital Mobile Key and providing their personal data. Anyone who does not have a Digital Mobile Key, go to get it.

The voucher, sent by email, can be redeemed until December 31, 2025 and used until July 4, 2026. Once you have received the voucher, you can immediately book stays at the Pousadas, at Pousadas de Juventude, but you have to wait two days to receive the discount on CP tickets.

With the expansion of the age range, Movy, which launched the program last year, aims to reinforce youth mobility, making it more accessible, inclusive and sustainable. The main objective is to promote territorial cohesion and reduce socioeconomic inequalities in access to mobility and youth tourism. In addition to individual registrations, student and youth associations registered in the National Register of Young Associations (RNAJ) will also be able to apply, organizing training, sports or leisure activities, also at no cost to the participants.
