UN Secretary General: Exceeding the 1.5 degree target “inevitable”

Geneva – UN Secretary General António Guterres has described missing the 1.5 degree climate target in the coming years as “inevitable”. “One thing is already clear: we will not be able to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees in the next few years,” Guterres told the World Meteorological Organization in Geneva on Wednesday. “Exceeding is now inevitable.”
