The National Teaching Test (PND) will be held for the first time and has more than one million applicants. The exam takes place this Sunday (26) in 720 cities in Brazil, totaling 1,086,914 confirmed participants.

The test, lasting 5 hours and 30 minutes, will have the same format as the theoretical assessment of the National Student Performance Exam (Enade) for undergraduate courses/Photo: Reproduction

Among the states that joined the exam is Acre, with 5,988 registered in this first edition.

Known as the “Teachers’ Enem” or “Teachers’ CNU”, the PND is aimed at undergraduate students nearing completion, graduated graduates or those who wish to enter public teaching through the processes carried out by municipalities and states that have joined the assessment.

The tests will follow Brasília time:

• Gates open at 12pm
• Gates close at 1pm
• Starts at 1:30 pm
• Ends at 7pm

The test locations and registration confirmation are now available in the PND system. The confirmation card contains all the information necessary to take the exam.

The test, lasting 5 hours and 30 minutes, will have the same format as the theoretical assessment of the National Student Performance Exam (Enade) for undergraduate degrees.

According to the PND 2025 notice, the exam will be carried out in two stages: specific component and general training for all teachers.

The assessment will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions, focused on the contents and skills of the 17 degree areas.

According to the Ministry of Education (MEC), São Paulo leads the number of registrants, with 253,895 participants. Brasília and other cities in the Federal District total 18,754.

The Pedagogy course is the one with the largest number of enrollments, totaling 560,911 across Brazil.

The National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), responsible for the test, informed that the public network may use the grades as a sole or complementary criterion in the selection of teachers who take the PND.

PND is part of the More Teachers for the Country program, which brings together actions to recognize and qualify basic education teachers and encourage teaching in Brazil.
