Trump also said the ceasefire deadline should be extended “until a proposal is presented and discussions are concluded.”

Despite the deadline extension, he stated that he ordered American Forces to continue the naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and to “remain ready and able.”

Earlier, this Tuesday, Trump had said that until the old deadline, which was late Wednesday night (22).

“I hope to continue bombing because I think that’s the best stance to take,” Trump declared during a telephone interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box” program.

“But we’re ready to take action. I mean, the military is eager to get into action. They’re absolutely incredible,” he said, going on to praise his efforts to rebuild the U.S. military.

On Monday (20), the American president told Bloomberg that there was a ceasefire.

When asked if he expected fighting to resume immediately if a deal was not reached, Trump responded: “If there is no deal, I would certainly hope so.”
