Police patrols were called on Wednesday (June 24) in the evening hours to the building on Tajovského Street in Banská Bystrica, where people spotted a person on a high chimney. The young man’s dangerous and high-risk behavior was immediately reported to the emergency line. The Banská Bystrica regional police informed about this on Thursday on the social network.
“After the arrival of the patrols, the person was no longer on the chimney, but they found the person near the object. It was an 18-year-old man, who was interviewed and it emerged from his statements that he wanted to get an attractive video for the social network. He was under the influence of alcohol. The measured value for him was almost 1.5 per thousand of alcohol,” said the police, who are handling the case as a misdemeanor.
“Especially among young people, teenagers, this out-of-place entertainment is gaining more and more popularity. The young man was extremely lucky. In a split second, his life could have turned into a great tragedy. The reality in such situations is much more dangerous than young people think. In addition, they risk problems with the law. Not every abandoned object is publicly accessible. Entering a private plot of land or a building without the owner’s consent may in specific cases be considered a misdemeanor, or may fulfill the characteristics of the criminal offense of unauthorized interference with the right to a house, apartment or non-residential space.” warned the police.
