Social Security and Supplemental Security Income benefits for 75 million Americans will increase 2.8% in 2026, the US government reported this Friday, 24.
The cost of living adjustment (Cola) will already be paid to almost 7.5 million beneficiaries from December 31, 2025.
The adjustment was announced after the release of the September consumer inflation index this Friday.
