One of the Comando Vermelho members who died during , participated in robberies in Caldas Novas (GO), in 2017, and came to live in the Federal District.
Éder Alves de Souza, 37 years old, known as “Disquete”, had his death confirmed by the Government of Goiás. In addition to him, three other criminals, fugitives from Justice in Goiás, were killed in Rio de Janeiro during the mega-operation. They are: Adan Pablo Alves de Oliveira, Marcos Vinicius da Silva Lima and Rafael Resende Ferreira.
O Metropolises found that Éder was sentenced, in 2023, by the 2nd Criminal Court (District of Caldas Novas) to 14 years, six months and 12 days in prison, in an initial closed regime, for participating in robberies in the city of Caldas Novas.
The robberies
The crimes occurred in January 2017. During the early hours of the morning, Éder stole a car, using a firearm. At the time of the approach, he kicked the owner of the vehicle and even took the victim’s cell phone.
Later, Éder joined two accomplices and went to a hotel, where they committed a new robbery. There, they presented themselves as sales representatives of beverages, which facilitated access to the interior of the establishment.

Then, Éder and one of the criminals announced the robbery, while the third accomplice stood outside the hotel’s financial sector, threatening employees with a firearm. According to the sentence, the trio took around R$10,580 from the hotel’s safes.
In addition to the money, the group took the cell phones of the four employees who were approached at the hotel and fled the scene with the car previously stolen by Éder Alves.
Tracked cell phone
The Goiás Military Police () were called and managed to locate the trio using the cell phone tracking service of one of the hotel employees.
As soon as they noticed the arrival of the military, Éder and his companions threw away part of the stolen money and tried to escape, but were arrested. According to the sentence, he had an address in DF, at QNL 59, in Taguatinga Norte.
