Qatar and the US discuss the situation in Gaza, regional stability and bilateral relations

Qatar and the United States discussed this Thursday, 30th, the situation in the Gaza Strip and regional stability, during a telephone call between Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, reported the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the statement, the two ministers “reviewed the strategic and solid relations between Qatar and the United States and ways to strengthen and develop them.”

They also discussed “developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in light of the ceasefire agreement in force in the enclave”, in addition to other topics of common interest.

Al-Thani emphasized “the need to intensify regional and international efforts to ensure the full implementation of the agreement” in order to promote “sustainable peace and stability in the region.”
