Lula should go to Belém on Saturday for COP30 week – 10/30/2025 – Brasília Hoje

The president (PT) must travel this Saturday (1st) to (PA) to fulfill the agendas related to the (United Nations) climate conference. The opening of the event is scheduled for November 10th.

On the first day, the president is expected to participate in the inauguration of a new wing of Belém airport and the renovation of the port of Oteiro.

On Sunday and Monday, Lula is expected to visit indigenous and quilombola communities. On Wednesday (5), bilateral meetings with the heads of state of countries participating in the COP are likely to take place.

Thursday and Friday (7) are reserved for the summit of leaders of the countries participating in the meeting. Wednesday is the only day on which the president does not yet have scheduled agendas.

According to presidential aides, there is also the prospect that Lula will travel to Fernando de Noronha, for a renewable energy event on the island, from where he would return to participate in the opening of the COP on November 11th. The schedule has not yet been officially confirmed.

There are still no confirmations whether the president will attend the Global Citizen Festival, scheduled for the period when Lula will be in Pará. The music festival includes shows by Anitta, Chris Martin, Gaby Amarantos, among other artists.
