President of the CBF, Samir Xaud commented on the possibility of transferring the 2025 Libertadores final, which will be played between Palmeiras and Flamengo, to Brazil. , at the Monumental Stadium in Lima, Peru.

“This is a competition organized by Conmebol. With this Brazilian final, we can now see the possibility of coming to Brazil. That is if the clubs are interested”, he began.

“If the clubs express themselves, have this intention, the CBF can help in this dialogue with Conmebol. But making it clear that the competition organized by Conmebol is what defines it”, he continued.

The president confirmed that Belém and Brasília were the municipalities that offered to host the grand final.

And if they have this desire, the CBF, as the highest institution in Brazilian football, will lead this and help in this dialogue”, he concluded.
