The simplest rosehip tea. Prepare it according to the runner.

You know very well that you should. And you still wanted to in the evening. But now it’s gloomy, creepy and not good weather for moving outside. “Run for darts, for example. You’ll stretch and bring home a vitamin bomb,” says runner Soňa Kotulková in the podcast. And she immediately reveals what she does with them every autumn morning.

Dark, cold, quite possibly even fog or rain. One would sometimes prefer to cancel an autumn morning. Even so, you have to go out. And it’s nice to have something on hand that gives you a healthy kick. And what’s more, it won’t cost you a penny. “I calmly collect the arrows for this traditional morning macerate on my way home from jogging, until they are just a little bit off the bush,” Soňa Kotulková, runner and founder of the blog and Prague Walking Club, describes in the podcast.

Autumn energy

The fact that rosehips are full of vitamin C and other beneficial substances is certainly nothing new to you. But sometimes you don’t want to painstakingly pick a lot of small fruits, then grind them, strain them, boil them… And get only a small amount of juice.

It’s a little better with drying, but the real thing takes a long time to cook and you don’t even have the appetite or energy for it in the morning. At the same time, you can get beneficial substances from rosehips quite effortlessly. Just give them time.

Just soak

Nothing more is really needed. Cut the arrows that you bring home – and you only need the amount that fits in your pocket – on a cutting board and then cover them with cold water in a saucepan or other container. Cover and let them infuse overnight.

“In the morning, I just drink the rosehips, warm them up a little so that I don’t drink cold at the start of the day, and drink it on an empty stomach,” explains Soňa Kotulková. Not only according to Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, it is better to treat yourself to a few warm sips in the morning, which do not cool the body unnecessarily. And not only in autumn, when this “tea” will help you strengthen your immunity and get you in the mood for a new day.
