Confusion in the Chamber: “If it’s up to us, we won’t vote on anything today”, says government leader

The president of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), said earlier that he will take the case to the plenary in the coming days

The leader of the government in the Chamber, José Guimarães (PT-CE), repudiated the forcible removal of federal deputy Glauber Braga (PSOL-RJ) from the Presidency of the Chamber on the afternoon of this Tuesday, 9th. Braga was removed by the Legislative Police amid great commotion.

His act is against the process of which he is the target of the Parliamentary Ethics and Decorum Council. The president of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), said earlier that he will take the case to the plenary in the coming days.

“This is unacceptable. Hugo Motta has to take action. If it’s up to us, he won’t vote on anything else here today”, said Guimarães.
