Economics Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (ÖVP) was in the Ö1Morning Journal as a guest. The topic was the new electricity market law, which the ÖVP-SPÖ-Neos government has agreed on. Hattmannsdorfer sees this as the “biggest electricity market reform” of the last 20 years. The federal government is thus creating a “safe, clean and affordable” electricity policy. The introduced social tariff would enable savings of 300 euros per year. Dynamic electricity tariffs would also enable high savings for households. At 1.1 percent, network costs would rise well below inflation. From last year to this year it was almost 23 percent. According to Hattmannsdorfer, the changes are “noticeable”.
