Cinnamon cake it is incredibly moist, intensely flavored with cinnamon and brown sugar. Walnuts they enrich its consistency and give it a pleasant crunch. This cake is perfect for holidays, weekend meetings with friends or a snack with afternoon coffee. It is simple and quick to prepare, and you need ingredients that you probably have in your home pantry. If you want you can add to it as well candied fruit or other spices. Perfect for the Christmas season.
Before you start baking, prepare the appropriate form. It will work well baking sheet measuring 25×35 cm.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 300 g of wheat flour,
- 200 g of brown sugar,
- 150 ml rapeseed oil,
- 3 eggs, size L or XL,
- 100 ml of milk,
- 50 g chopped walnuts,
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon,
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
- ½ teaspoon of baking soda,
- 1 pinch of nutmeg,
- 1 pinch of salt.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix oil, eggs and milk.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined, do not overmix. Add the chopped nuts and gently fold them into the dough.
Pour the dough into a 25×35 cm baking tray lined with baking paper. Put them in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 35-45 minutes or into a dry stick.
Remove the cinnamon cake and let cool completely. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and cut into equal cubes.
Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
