Minister Flávio Dino, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), stated that Mariângela Fialek, former advisor to the deputy and former president of Casa Arthur Lira (PP-AL), “supposedly acting under direct orders” from the parliamentarian.
According to the magistrate, who authorized a PF (Federal Police) operation against Mariângela this Friday (12), .
“Such circumstances provide strong evidence that the Defendant is part of an organized structure focused on the improper direction of parliamentary amendments, supposedly acting under direct orders from the former Presidency of the Chamber of Deputies, exercised by Deputy Arthur Lira, a fact that is still under investigation”, wrote Dino.
The investigation that resulted in the operation included testimony from six parliamentarians. The hearings provide evidence that Tuca was part of an “organized structure” focused on diverting amendments, which relied on the forced redirection of resources, determined by Lira, whose main beneficiary was the state of Alagoas.
Representative Glauber Braga (Psol-RJ) recounted, for example, episodes of political pressure, including reports that Lira had threatened to remove José Rocha from the presidency of a commission to redirect resources. Glauber also pointed out transfers considered atypical for municipalities in Alagoas, especially Rio Largo, governed by an ally of Lira and benefiting from values far above the standard.
Another deputy, José Rocha (União-BA) reported that, upon assuming the presidency of a committee, he received from Tuca official drafts and transfer spreadsheets totaling more than R$1 billion, without identifying authors, objects or beneficiaries. He said he insisted, via WhatsApp, to obtain this information, but never received the details. He reported that one of the remittances allocated R$320 million to Alagoas, Arthur Lira’s state, and that he held off sending it to the ministry until transparency was obtained, which led Lira to call complaining that he was “creating a problem”.
The PF (Federal Police) carried out this Friday (12), in Brasília, one through parliamentary amendments and which targeted Mariângela. Search and seizure warrants were carried out at her home and workroom.
Currently, Mariângela is employed as a servant of the PP leadership, but has always acted as Lira’s right-hand man, especially when he was president of the Chamber.
