Ceagesp calculates damage caused by blackout lasting more than 40 hours

Ceagesp says that “damages caused to more than 3 thousand traders who operate at the CEAGESP Warehouse in the capital of São Paulo are still being investigated

The – largest warehouse in South America – reported this Friday (12) that its power had been restored after spending almost three days without electricity due to the blackout that hit the capital of São Paulo following a windstorm of more than 100km/h.

“After more than 40 hours, it was restored by the supply of electricity to the Entreposto Terminal São Paulo (ETSP)”, says the note, adding that the “damages caused to more than 3 thousand traders operating at the CEAGESP Entreposto in the capital of São Paulo are still being investigated”.

CEAGESP is responsible for supplying Fruits, Vegetables, Vegetables, Fish and Flowers to one of the largest metropolises in the world, in addition to hundreds of cities around it. The Company states that with the return of power, operations should return to normal, gradually, throughout the day. “CEAGESP emphasizes that electrical energy is a fundamental input for the operations of the Entreposto de São Paulo and for the traders who operate in its facilities”.
