The Austrian winter tourism industry is probably facing its biggest challenge: rising temperatures and dwindling snow reliability are forcing ski areas to take ever more complex adaptation measures. While three quarters of the local piste areas already have artificial snow, the question arises as to how long this strategy will continue to work.
