China’s foreign ministry said the agreement shows that dialogue and consultation are practical and effective ways to resolve complex disputes.

“China will play a constructive role in its own way”

Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet his Cambodian counterpart Prak Sokhon and Thailand’s Sikhasak Phuangketew in southwest China’s Yunnan province on December 28 and 29, the ministry said, adding that military representatives from the three countries would also attend the meeting.

As APE-MPE reports, China has announced its intention to continue to facilitate a more constructive and detailed dialogue between Cambodia and Thailand.

“China will play a constructive role in its own way to help Cambodia and Thailand consolidate the truce, resume exchanges, build mutual trust in politics, achieve recovery in relations and maintain regional peace,” the ministry said.
