Carinthian Governor Fellner (SPÖ) for bringing forward the summer holidays

Klagenfurt – The pink Vienna education councilor Bettina Emmerling made the first advance last week and called for the summer holidays to be brought forward “in view of the noticeable increase in hot days”.

On Monday, Carinthian Governor Daniel Fellner (SPÖ) also spoke out in favor of this idea. Bringing the summer holidays forward by two weeks would avoid heat build-up in the classrooms and the longer teaching time after the summer would give “the autumn holidays more pedagogical meaning,” it said in a press release.
