This Monday, December 29th, another broadcast of the program ‘Praça da Alegria’ was aired, led by Jorge Gabriel and Joana Teles, who this week is replacing Sónia Araújo in RTP1’s morning format.
At one point, during the live broadcast, the two presenters decided to pay tribute to one of their colleagues, who recently left.
“Joana and I have to share some news here that is not exactly what we most wanted, especially at a time like this festive season. Our colleague Pedro Alexandre has died. Pedro was a camera operator at RTP, where he worked since the 90s”Jorge Gabriel began by saying.
After listening to his professional colleague, who highlighted the camera operator’s work “in Information but also in Entertainment”, namely in ‘Praça da Alegria’, Jorge Gabriel sent a message to his friend’s family.
“His place will always be here. We send a hug of courage to his family and our colleagues and, of course, to those who crossed paths with Pedro. A round of applause, please”he further said.
