Iran, an ally of Venezuela, condemned this Saturday (3) an attack on Venezuelan territory “as a flagrant violation of its national sovereignty and territorial integrity”.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry called on the UN Security Council to “act immediately to stop the unlawful aggression” and hold perpetrators accountable.
United States President Donald Trump confirmed that he carried out military attacks in Venezuela. He further stated that dictator Nicolás Maduro was captured and taken out of the country.
Tension between the United States and Venezuela has grown in recent months, with the Pentagon deploying a large military contingent and attacking boats in the Caribbean.
