Affen/Golling – After the truck fire in the Brentenberg Tunnel on the Tauernautobahn in Salzburg on Friday evening, the tunnel will remain closed for a long time. During an initial assessment, massive damage was found in the first 100 meters of the tunnel, Asfinag spokesman Alexander Holzedl told APA on Saturday afternoon. In addition to a precise assessment of the damage, it is now being examined which alternative traffic routes are possible. There were already massive traffic jams on Saturday.
