The president of the BC (Central Bank), Gabriel Galípolo, will meet with the president of the TCU (Federal Audit Court), minister Vital do Rêgo Filho, this Monday afternoon (12).

The meeting is scheduled to take place at the headquarters of the Central Bank, in Brasília and takes place amid the possibility of an inspection of the court of accounts at the BC to investigate the process that determined the extrajudicial liquidation of Banco Master.

In addition to Vital, TCU also represented at the meeting the general secretary of External Control, Juliana Pontes; the general secretary of Communication, Flávio Takashi Sato; and the deputy chief auditor of the General Secretariat for External Control, Maria Bethânia Lahoz.

As anticipated by presenter Tainá Falcão, from CNN BrazilVital do Rêgo confirmed that the meeting aims to seek a joint solution before the judgment of the monetary authority’s appeal by the TCU plenary.
