Lufthansa, AUA and Swiss prohibit charging power banks on board

Charging power banks has been prohibited on flights of the Lufthansa Group – which includes Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss, Eurowings and Brussels Airlines – since January 15th. Charging devices using power banks that you bring with you is no longer permitted, as the Lufthansa Group announced in a press release. The reason for this is increasing safety concerns after recent incidents with burning power banks.
