Meeting between Viana and Alcolumbre takes place next week to agree on another 60 days of CPMI
Late this Thursday afternoon (29), Senator Carlos Viana (Podemos-MG), who is the president of the INSS CPMI, announced in a press conference who the summoned to the first hearings of the case in the coming days.
The first mentioned was Daniel Vorcaro, from Banco Master, that he is under a restrictive measure and therefore will need to be released by Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), to attend the deposition, which will be on February 5th. The release request was also made by CPMI.
The second summoned was Luiz Félix Cardamone Netothe former president of Banco BMG, who will be traveling until February 21st, but who will still “will come to CPMI willingly” according to the senator at the press conference. The banker must give a statement on February 25th.
Viana also said that they will look for those who were previously summoned to the CPMI but did not appear. The first of them is the investigated businessman, Maurício Camisotti who, at the time of his first summons, received a Habeas Corpus from the STF that exempted him from being present at the deposition. “We hope that the STF will give us the opportunity to bring him, complying with the CPMI rule, there is no possibility for a person to say whether they want to come or not (give a statement)”, said the president of CPMI.
Other names that presented a certificate and did not come to CPMI, such as Américo Monte and other namesare being cataloged to be summoned and thus end the depositions as quickly as possible.
One meeting with the president of the senateDavi Alcolumbre, and Carlos Viana is already scheduled and should happen next week for the order of at least another 60 days so that CPMI can collect all the necessary documents, in addition to the main figures mentioned who will give their testimonies. “I am very confident that we will have at least another 60 days, my conversation with the president of the senate was very good”, added Viana.
