The Iranian supreme guide, the ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated this Sunday that any US attack against his country would trigger “a regional war”, at a time when US President Donald Trump is threatening to resort to force against Tehran.
“Americans must know that if they declare a war, it will be a regional war“, declared Ali Khamenei, final decision-maker in Iran, quoted by the Tasnim agency.
The United States has already carried out attacks against Iran during a 12-day war in June, launched by Israel.
However, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard assured that the country’s Armed Forces are fully prepared and have “action plans” to respond to any hostile activity by enemies.
“The Iranian Armed Forces have action plans for any hostile scenario”, said the spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (CGRI), Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, as reported by the Mehr agency.
Naeini indicated that all US movements, which moved a large fleet close to Iranian waters in the Persian Gulf, are being monitored.
The deputy commander of the Guard, Ahmad Vahidi, pointed out, on the other hand, that the presence of North American combat groups in the region is part of a psychological operation aimed at generating a climate of war and assured that Iran will not fall into this trap, Mehr reported.

“The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are in a complete state of defensive and military alert, enemy movements in the region are accurately monitored and we have the finger on the trigger”, said the commander in chief of the Iranian Army, General Amir Hatami, reported the Mehr agency.
Faced with possible military action by the United States against Tehran, Hatami assured that If the enemy makes a mistake, it will undoubtedly jeopardize its own security, “the security of the region and the Zionist regime (Israel)”.
European “terrorists”
