Burning oil in a pan can end in tragedy: Firefighters advise how to avoid a disaster!

When baking or frying, always be careful not to let the food in the pan catch fire. If a fire does occur, burning oil is not recommended to be extinguished with water. The Fire and Rescue Service (HaZZ) drew attention to this on the social network. He also appeals to people not to leave appliances on unattended.

“If possible, try to prevent further heating of the oil by turning off the appliance. Cover the pan with a lid, a baking sheet, moisten a tea towel and cover the pan with it.” Firefighters advise. A fire blanket can also help, which will block the access of air and suffocate the fire. After that, the hot container should not be handled until it cools down.
