A serious traffic accident occurred on the northern part of the D1 highway near Sučany in the Martin district on Monday morning. The highway is closed in the direction of Žilina. Traffic in the direction of Martin is diverted along road I/18. The Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Žilina informs about this on the social network.
The STVR green wave specified that the accident occurred at kilometer 221. The detour leads from the beginning of the highway section along road I/18 past Turany via Sučany and motorists can connect to the D1 highway in front of Martin via the R3 road.
