The former president’s defense stated to the (Supreme Federal Court) that his health condition had worsened and asked that the PF (Federal Police) be ordered to present “with the utmost urgency” the report of the examination carried out on January 20th.
According to Bolsonaro’s lawyers, the document is essential to “enable the presentation of an opinion by the defense’s technical assistant and, consequently, the analysis of the need to grant the grant.”
Addressed to the rapporteur for the execution of the former president’s sentence, minister, the petition mentions that Bolsonaro’s medical team noticed in recent days “the emergence of emetic episodes [vômitos] and accentuated.”
Lawyers say that the ten-day period given by Moraes to prepare the report, in a decision signed on January 15, has already expired. Privately, members of the PF say that they only had access to complete documentation about Bolsonaro’s health last week and that the expertise is in the final stages of adjustments.
Convicted of leading one in the country, the former president is serving a sentence of 27 years and three months in prison in the 19th Military Police Battalion of the Federal District, called , located in the Papuda Penitentiary Complex.
