The Rio de Janeiro Police arrested, this Wednesday (4), a military police officer within the battalion where he works after robbing, extorting and raping a woman, in Maricá, in the metropolitan region of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the police, in January this year, the military charged a victim who owed around R$800 to a loan shark. In action, at which time they also went to the woman’s house and stole two televisions from the residence.
The police also point out that, after the robbery, the suspects forced the victim to drink and raped her. In the action that arrested the military police officer, the PM even seized cash, weapons and ammunition.

“The Press Office of the State Secretariat of Military Police informs, through the General Inspectorate of the Corporation, that the aforementioned soldier was arrested in the Prison Unit of the Military Police of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UPPMERJ) and an administrative disciplinary procedure will be initiated for the appropriate measures.
The Corporation Command reiterates that it does not condone any misconduct or the commission of crimes committed by its members, strictly punishing those involved whenever the facts are duly verified.”
