Ukraine: Russian missile launch facility hit - Terma and Starlink

Despite messages from Abu Dhabi on talks between it and Russia being positive, and envoy Steve Witkoff announcing that the two sides appear to have agreed to yet another prisoner-of-war exchange, Ukraine’s military said it had carried out a series of “successful” strikes on Russian medium-range missile facility infrastructure in January.

They hit missile silos with the Flamingos

The general staff of Ukraine’s armed forces added in a statement that some buildings were damaged, an airplane hangar suffered “significant” damage and personnel were evacuated from the Kapustin Yar test site near the Caspian Sea, without elaborating on the dates of the attacks.

The military claimed it used its long-range capabilities to carry out those strikes, including the Ukrainian-made Flamingo missile.

Starlink is over for Russian forces in Ukraine

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced today that terminals of the Starlink satellite internet system used by Russian forces in Ukraine have been disabled.

In a post on the Telegram app, Fedorov added that Ukraine will continue to compile a list of verified terminals that are approved for business, and that the first batch on this list is already operational.
