  • Planned talks between Iran and the United States in Switzerland have been postponed.

At least 16 victims and several injured

Lebanon’s state-run NNA news agency reported that at least 16 people were killed and several others injured in the Israeli airstrikes. At the time of the attacks, there was an announcement that planned talks in Switzerland between Iran and the United States on a final peace deal had been postponed.

The Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon and the ongoing attacks on Hezbollah are also to be discussed. Tel Aviv insists it must keep the territory and have a free hand in fighting the militants, as the movement attacks northern Israel, the AP said.

Pan-Arab al-Mayadeen satellite television, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, said Iran had delayed sending its delegation to Switzerland precisely because of Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Lebanon.
