The boys Dieguinho, Gui Negão and Kayke guaranteed Corinthians’ victory in the sixth round of Paulistão

Corinthians beat Capivariano 3-0 this Thursday (5), closing the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista. With an alternative team, the team had the brilliance of the boys to unbalance the match and get closer to the lead in the state tournament.

Even as a reserve, the black and white team was better. The visitors would have taken the lead had it not been for a controversial offside call. Afterwards, there was only Corinthians, with a show by “Filhos do Terrão”. Dieguinho, Gui Negão and Kayke secured the victory.

The Corinthians, who took fourth place, now turn their attention to the Derby on Sunday (8), also with Paulistão. On the same day, Capivariano receives Mirassol.

Gui Negão was Corinthians’ main weapon, with good arrivals and shots stopped by goalkeeper Guilherme Nogueira. Newcomer Kaio César was also doing well, who had the misfortune of leaving after less than 15 minutes due to pain in his right thigh. Dieguinho entered, who changed the game.

Before that, however, Capivariano was not content with just being a spectator of his opponent. The team managed to scare, with a strong shot from Leonan, saved by Felipe Longo.

The team even scored, with Carlos Eduardo, from a free kick. The number 10 crossed into the area, and the ball went straight into the goal. However, defender Lucas Dias was ruled offside, under the assessment that he had participated in the play.

Corinthians came back better after the break, but had difficulty transforming the volume of play into real chances. Until, at nine minutes, Matheus Bidu played with Garro and infiltrated the opponent’s defense for Dieguinho. The 18-year-old hit the ball beautifully and scored his first goal as a professional.

The team continued to attack. Dieguinho, this time, was an assistant. From the left, he crossed to the head of Gui Negão, who extended it.

Capivariano was no longer able to react. On the Corinthian side, Dorival promoted Memphis’ debut at Paulistão in 2026, in addition to the arrivals of Kayke and Pedro Raul, seeking even more offensiveness. It worked out. On the right, Kayke crossed the line with the Dutchman and tapped in to score the third and close the score.
