Eduardo demands support from allies for Flávio’s candidacy – 02/06/2026 – Brasília Hoje

The former deputy (PL-SP) stated, on Thursday (5), that “those who are on the field, in the political arena, need to be on the same page” in relation to the candidacy of his brother, the senator (PL-RJ) for the Presidency.

In a charge to allies, the former president’s son (PL) stated that “joining a movement and remaining silent is not neutrality” but rather a “deliberate omission”.

“The candidacy has been in place for exactly 2 months and the objective is clear: to take Brazil off the path of poverty with Lula”, wrote Eduardo in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The former deputy and his brother are on a trip to the Middle East, where they have already met with authorities such as the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. According to Eduardo, he and Flávio are “being received with respect and honor” during the international tour.

as to SheetFlávio Bolsonaro’s rapprochement with Eduardo’s international articulations marks a turning point in the senator’s political trajectory, who has not participated in the main parliamentary delegations led by Eduardo since 2024 to denounce the supposed existence of a “dictatorship” in the country and call for sanctions against the Lula (PT) government.

Eduardo was denounced last September on charges of trying to intervene in the former president’s processes. In November, Moraes ordered the cancellation of his diplomatic passport.

The former deputy left Brazil in March last year and moved to the United States, with the aim of leading a campaign for sanctions against Lula and his allies. He was impeached at the end of last year due to excessive absences in the Chamber.
