According to witness reports, the victim was initially attacked by an unidentified man while he was in the neighborhood. Even though he was injured, Jair managed to walk to the gas station, where he ended up falling to the ground and remained lying down, without the strength to react.

A video sent to the report shows the moment in which the attacker returns to the scene and attacks the victim again, who was already down and in no condition to defend himself. In the images, it is possible to see the suspect delivering several blows to Jair’s head and body. After the second sequence of attacks, the man fled in an unknown direction. The motivation for the crime is still unknown.

Jair suffered three deep cuts on his head, lost consciousness and had a suspected fracture in one of his legs.

People called the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), which sent a basic support ambulance to provide first assistance at the gas station.

After emergency procedures, the victim was taken to the Urgency and Emergency Room in Rio Branco, where he was admitted to the Traumatology sector for medical evaluation. The health status was considered stable.

According to information gathered by the report, the Military Police were not called at the time of the incident. The case must be investigated by the Civil Police, who will seek to identify and hold the perpetrator of the attacks responsible.
