Rome/Bergamo – The rescue of researcher Ottavia Piana, who has been locked up in a cave in northern Italy since Saturday, has been delayed. In order to bring a stretcher with the 32-year-old injured woman from Brescia, who is stuck in the “Abisso Bueno Fonteno” cave in the Bergamo area, to the exit, several more hours of assistance are needed. The rescue operation is not expected to be completed until Wednesday evening at the earliest.
