Lucas was the highlight of the Tricolar victory

Moments of good football and an adequate performance by Lucas Moura were not enough for São Paulo to escape strong emotions this Saturday. The 2-1 victory over Primavera came with doses of suffering, after the tricolor team lost at MorumBis.

With the result, the team led by Henán Crespo goes to 10 points and is in eighth place, overtaking São Bernardo, who lost to Novorizontino. The team from the interior, which has former striker Rafael Marques as coach, is in 11th, with seven points.

São Paulo started the game well, with high intensity in offensive actions. Lucas Moura had a lot of space between the marking lines of the interior team and accelerated the plays with ease, making good use of his characteristic runs to create dangerous moves for the home team.

On the other side, Primavera could only defend itself to neutralize the tricolor attacks already close to the area. There was some tension in the 30th minute, because defender Afonso suffered a head injury and had to be taken away by ambulance from MorumBis.

After the stoppage to assist the defender, the São Paulo team slowed down and even allowed the Indaiatuba team to build dangerous moves in the offensive sector. The drop in performance and the suffocation in the final minutes before the break caused the fans to boo the team at the end of the first half.

In the second half, the situation became even worse for the home team. Gabriel Poveda turned near the half-moon and shot from outside the area to open the scoring, still in the eighth minute. Thus, apprehension took over the already dissatisfied fans present at MorumBis.

The unfavorable environment, however, did not stop São Paulo from reacting. Calleri, who came off the bench to replace Tapia, started the play that ended in an assist from Lucas Ramón to Lucas. The move was evaluated for possible offside, but ended up being validated by the VAR.

Everything calmed down, once and for all, when Calleri converted a penalty, the origin of which was a foul by Renato Vischi, who was sent off, on Luciano. With an advantage on the scoreboard and with more men on the field, São Paulo pressed in the final minutes, but still had to rely on a great save from Rafael, off a shot from Josiel, to guarantee the victory.
