MBL adopts extremist positions and advocates killing criminals – 02/08/2026 – Panel

In an attempt to make his candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic viable and to promote , which was born from , Renan Santos has adopted inflammatory speeches and extremist positions on social media as a tactic.

The founder of MBL has already committed to “ending the race” of (PL) and said that he has to die. He also preached the execution of criminals and defended an intervention process in Maranhão.

Renan began to promote the importance of Brazil producing nuclear weapons, alongside the (Union). MBL’s main representative in Congress, “for peaceful purposes”.

The escalation is a bet by the MBL given the barriers that Missão will face in this election, such as low representation in Congress and little television time for electoral propaganda.

Last week, Renan chose Mossoró (RN), known for its resistance to Virgulino Ferreira da Silva’s gang, Lampião, to present his ideas in the area of public security.

“Vagabundo is treated by bullet, he is killed, he is eliminated. At the time, Colchete and Jararaca, two of Lampião’s main soldiers, died. Let’s do this with the PCC, the Red Command, the Crime Syndicate.”

In another episode, during a live broadcast, Renan called senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), chosen by former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), a traitor to represent him against the extreme right.

“The traitor has to die, and the traitor is Flávio Bolsonaro. He needs to be destroyed, and I will end Flávio Bolsonaro’s race,” he said.

When dealing with the Northeast, where Missão has invested heavily, Renan stands as the only pre-candidate who does not speak about the region “in a condescending way”.

Specifically about Maranhão, he stated that it is “sucky” to live there and defended federal intervention in the state.

“The political class in Maranhão is rubbish. I would place an intervener in Maranhão to improve the HDI [Índice de Desenvolvimento Humano]”, says Renan.

“I’m not going to talk about couscous with them [povo nordestino]and that I will increase Bolsa Família. You [maranhenses] they needed to become an economically active population. There must be more rights, yes, but more duties.”

For now, Renan has scored low in surveys, rarely exceeding 3%. But he is betting on growing, especially targeting young male voters, the so-called “generation Z”.

When contacted by the column, Renan and no party spokesperson spoke out.
