INSS CPI cancels session this Monday

President of the commission says that Paulo Camisotti presented a medical certificate and will not be able to attend the commission

The session of the CPMI (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of the INSS (National Social Security Institute) scheduled for this Monday (9.Feb.2026) was cancelled.

According to the president of the commission, senator (Podemos-MG), the cancellation occurred after businessman Paulo Camisotti presented a last-minute medical certificate, stating the impossibility of attending CPMI.

“The CPMI will not accept delays or the use of medical certificates as an instrument to empty investigations”Viana no X. “The applicable legal and regulatory measures will be adopted, including coercive conduct, if necessary.”

Paulo Camisotti is the son of Maurício Camisotti and suspected of being used as one of the criminals in the billion-dollar scheme of undue discounts for retirees and pensioners.

The session scheduled for Thursday (12.Feb.2026) had already been last week. As a result, the INSS CPMI will resume its activities only after Carnival, when a request to break banking and tax secrecy related to Banco Master must be voted on.

Master’s owner, Daniel Vorcaro, will be heard by CPMI on February 26th. Initially, the testimony was scheduled for Thursday (5.Feb.2026), but it was postponed between Viana, Vorcaro’s defense lawyers and the minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Dias Toffoli, rapporteur of the case at the Court.

According to CPMI members, more than 250,000 loan contracts linked to Banco Master show signs of irregularities, including suspected cases of contracts without authorization from the beneficiaries.
