On Monday, the trial continued at the Specialized Criminal Court (ŠTS) in Pezinok in the case of ordering the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak and in the case of the preparation of murders of prosecutors. The defendant Alena Zsuzsová she refused to testify before the senate. He plans to use this right only in the further course of the hearing. However, according to the information he published, she commented on her health condition.
Zsuzsová has necrosis of the hip joint and is on the waiting list for surgery. “With any wrong step, my leg threatens to fall off,” she said when explaining why she was asking for an individual escort to the court in Pezinok. She does not want to be transported ahead of time from Nitra to the prison in Bratislava and from there to ŠTS.
In the case of the murder of Kuciak from February 2018, in which his fiancee Martina Kušnírová also died, the couple Marian Kočner and Alena Zsuzsová are facing charges from her order. The Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic annulled the previous two judgments. The case was brought to the ŠTS for the third time. The perpetrators of the murder, Miroslav Marček and Tomáš Szabó, were previously given 25-year non-parole sentences, Andruskó 15 years without parole.
In addition to Marian Kočner and Alena Zsuzsová, Dušan K. and Darko D. are facing indictment for preparing the murders of the prosecutors. According to the indictment, the order for the murders of Maroš Žilinka and Daniel Lipšic should have arrived in autumn 2017. In the case of Petr Šufliarske in 2018.
