The eleventh series Let’s Dance brings more news. Former winners and finalists will fight against each other on the dance floor, there has been a change in both the moderators and the jury. The Czech actor Richard Genzer and the professional dancer Laura Arcolinová will join the regulars Ján Ďurovčík and Tatiana Drexler in the new season of the popular dance show. The new reinforcement from the Czech Republic is no newcomer and has been a judge at StarDance for years. In an interview for revealed that he shares a common past with the jury’s executioner.
It was Ďurovčík who threw Genzer out of the audition for the musical Pomáda. “We have known each other for a long time. He fired me from bankruptcy 25 years ago. He didn’t take me to Pomáda, so I was turned off, but we talked about it. I already forgot about it. Maybe it was the first step… he didn’t take me yet, who knows where I would be today,” the Czech entertainer, choreographer and former dancer said with a laugh.
Years later, even Ďurovčík can’t remember why he didn’t choose Genzer. The well-known Czech has a certain theory. “Maybe there was some dislike, or I don’t know. I don’t remember it either, but it was weird.” added the entertainer, who has a dance conservatory behind him. He also revealed why he hung up his dancing career.
„When the musicals started, I transferred and did Dracula. Then I took a different route. I no longer wanted to dance and sweat for little money, so now I sit for more money“, he joked. He has choreographed several shows to his credit, but according to his own words, he didn’t enjoy it. He also mentioned Tatiana Drexler, with whom he often sat at the judges’ table in the Czech version of Let’s Dance. According to Genzer, you are her The Czechs especially liked it. “Even though we were going on those big tours now around the halls, so she became really popular, which I’m happy about” he admitted.
Drexler will tell without a napkin if a competitor makes technical mistakes, but at the same time he can be moved by the performances. Genzer repeatedly warned her not to cry in live broadcasts. “She is impressed, but she is an expert. I think he is in the right place” he added.

They fight for the title of king and queen of the dance floor Ján Koleník, Nela Pocisková, Jakub Jablonský, Juraj Mokrý, Gabika Marcinková, Vladimír Kobielsky, Kristián Baran, and Petra Polnišová, Jana Hospodárová and Zuzana Porubjaková complete the lineup.
