Washington – US President Donald Trump has overturned one of the most important climate protection regulations in the USA. On Thursday he declared the 2009 risk assessment invalid, according to which greenhouse gases are harmful to health. Trump also formally lifted the resulting emissions standards for cars. Trump spoke of the “largest deregulation measure” in US history. He called the climate regime from the time of his predecessor Barack Obama “catastrophic.”
