Average monthly salary data is based on 2023 statistics from Annual List of Social Information (RAIS) and the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The calculation divides the nominal wage bill by the total number of formal jobs in each district. According to the survey, the average income among all districts of the capital of São Paulo is R$ 3.598,55.
The disparity in income reflects the study’s “inequality meter,” which shows that remuneration in the best district is 6.7 times higher than in the worst. At the top of the list, after Itaim Bibi, appear Alto de Pinheiros (R$ 8.115,83) e Saint Amaro (R$ 8,092.71). At the opposite extreme, in addition to Pari, are districts such as Saint Michael (R$ 2.014,62) e Marsilac (R$ 2.077,31).
