PF documents could implicate Toffoli, says jurist Maierovitch

Jurist and professor Wálter Maierovitch stated, during his participation in the WW this Thursday (12), that documents from the PF (Federal Police) contain evidence of possible crimes committed by Dias Toffoli.

The statement comes after the STF (Supreme Federal Court). According to Maierovitch, there are serious contradictions in the note issued by the ten STF ministers on the case.

“Let me point out another serious contradiction where they killed and buried nothing more, nothing less than the criminal procedural law”, highlighted the jurist, criticizing the procedure adopted by the Court.

The expert explained that, in an investigation, only the recipient of the investigation would have the legitimacy to raise suspicion, in this case, the Attorney General of Justice, Paulo Gonet.

“The question is, did he argue for impediment and suspicion? The answer is no,” stated Maierovitch, questioning the validity of the procedure.

Signs of irregularities

During the interview, the jurist was emphatic in pointing out that “in all this documentation from the Federal Police there are indications of crimes committed by Toffoli”.

Among the possible irregularities mentioned are co-authorship in conduct with Vorcaro, obstruction of justice, favoritism and evidence of participation as a silent partner in negotiations.

Maierovitch highlighted specific dates that raise suspicions: “There are the dates, sale in 2021, then money flows into the account in 2024.”

For the jurist, the case should not be closed with a simple note from the STF, which he classified as “ridiculous”.

The expert argued that Gonet should ask the Supreme Court for authorization to investigate Toffoli.

“He has to ask the Supreme Court for authorization to investigate the case. This big scandal cannot be made cheap and in this little note,” he concluded.
