Two people died and one was injured in a shooting on Thursday night (12) at South Carolina State Universityin the United States, informed the institution.

The campus was closed at 9:15 pm local time (11:15 pm Brasília time), following an alert about gunshots in an apartment in the ‘Hugine Suites’ student residential complex.

“University authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims, nor the condition of the injured person,” the institution said in a statement. “The campus remains closed”, reiterates the note.

University authorities did not say whether anyone was arrested. in the investigation into the shooting.

Local security forces assist the university “in patrolling the campus and its surroundings.” Friday classes were cancelled.
