Creamy Spicy Meatballs are the perfect choice for days when you want a simple but really distinctive meal. Minced meat, chili flakes, garlic and cream create a flavor that will warm and caress you. Whether you serve it with pasta or just with crusty bread, success is always guaranteed.
A friend of Domča, who loves experimenting with , taught me this variation and says that the secret is not to be afraid of spices. She once told me, “If you’re afraid of chili, you’re not getting the best out of the recipe.” And she was right. Her second tip is: “Cream and parmesan soften everything, so don’t be afraid of them either.” This results in meatballs that have juice, character and a distinct aroma.
Once you try these meatballs, you’ll never want another. Watch the video recipe and learn how to proceed step by step:
Recipe for Spicy Meatballs
Ingredients:
– 350 g of ground beef
– 70 g Parmesan cheese, plus a little on top
– 200 ml of cream
– 2 spoons of tomato puree
– 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
– 4 teaspoons of chili flakes
– 1 teaspoon of pepper
– 3 teaspoons of salt
– fresh basil
– olive oil
Procedure:
1. Mix the meat, parmesan cheese, half of the cream, 2 teaspoons of chili, 2 teaspoons of salt and pepper. Form small balls from the resulting mixture.
2. Fry them in a pan in a little oil until golden on all sides. Then take them out and set aside.
3. Put the tomato puree in the same pan, fry it briefly, add a teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of chili and the rest of the cream. Mix everything carefully until smooth.
4. Return the meatballs back to the pan, add the garlic and basil and let it bubble gently for about ten minutes.
5. Serve with pasta or fresh bread.
Meatballs of this type are popular all over the world today, and a friend rightly calls them “the best that can be prepared from one pan”. The combination of parmesan cheese and cream delicately combines the spicy spices to create a sauce that coats each ball beautifully. And when basil is added to it, a dish is created that can make you happy even on a completely ordinary day.
