Winter Games: time and where to watch Brazilians in alpine skiing

The Brazilians Lucas Pinheiro Braathen e Giovanni Ongaro debut at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games this Saturday (14) in the giant slalom category at alpine ski.

The first descent starts at 6 am (Brasília time), while the second descent, which defines the podium, is scheduled for 9:30 am (Brasília time), both will be broadcast on SporTV 2 and CazéTV (YouTube).

Lucas Braathen will be the first to go down, while Giovanni Ongaro will be 47th on the track at the Stelvio Ski Center in Valtellina.

A slalom specialist, he publicly committed to putting Brazil on the winter sports map and, since then, he has been fulfilling his promise.

In November, he achieved a historic feat by winning a stage of the World Cup in Levi, Finland, beating Olympic champion Clement Noël.

Giant slalom

The giant slalom is the fastest technical event in alpine skiing and is contested in two heats on the same day. The times are added together and the athlete with the fastest combined time wins.

The start of the second descent is in reverse order from the top 30 from the first race.
