Honda and Nissan will enter into negotiations for a merger and pool their resources to better compete with the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturers, the Japanese newspaper reported. Nikkei this Tuesday (17).
The two automakers are considering operating under a single holding company and are expected to soon sign a memorandum of understanding to form the new entity resulting from the merger, the newspaper added.
Representatives for Honda and Nissan were not immediately available for comment.
