Internacional defeats Ypiranga and advances to the Gaúcho final

O International took an important step towards the final of the Gaucho Championship upon winning the Ypiranga 3-0, at Colosso da Lagoa, in Erechim, in the first game of the semifinal.

Colorado opened the scoring after just 2 minutes with Braian Aguirre, who took advantage of Bruno Tabata’s cross to finish with precision.

Ypiranga tried to react and balanced their actions during part of the first half, creating some chances for finishing.

In the 35th minute of the first half, Thiago Maia expanded for Internacional with a beautiful left leg kick, after an individual play by Bruno Tabata.

In the second half, Internacional maintained control of the match, having greater possession of the ball and creating the main opportunities. The third goal came in the 32nd minute of the second half, when after Vitinho’s cross, goalkeeper Zé Carlos ended up sending the ball into his own goal.

With this result, Internacional could lose by up to two goals in the return game, scheduled for next Saturday (21), at 6:30 pm, in Beira-Rio.

On the state scene, the red and white team comes from a solid classification: they defeated São Luiz in the quarterfinals and secured a place among the four best. The winner of this match will face whoever passes .
